Position Overview

Cambridge Associates (C|A) has been at the forefront of innovative investment portfolio strategies for over 40 years. Based in the financial district of Boston, we serve global clients from 8 offices across the US and around the world. We are currently seeking a Manager to join the Enterprise Risk & Audit team serving our Global Investment Management Firm. C|A's Enterprise Risk & Audit practice supports essential business issues, providing objective risk assurance for risk governance, management, and compliance. At C|A, Enterprise Risk & Audit is not a "check the box" exercise; instead, the group provides valuable and influential risk insight to support leadership, governance, technology and ongoing operations at the Firm. This position reports to the Head of Enterprise Risk and Audit, and is responsible for both leading and executing Enterprise Risk & Audit efforts

Job Responsibilities

  • As a member of the ER&A team, collaborate on risk based strategic projects and lead and execute internal audits

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a an integrated Enterprise Risk Management and Governance program, keeping current on external and internal risk factors

  • Provide process design expertise to teams so that processes incorporate the controls requirement of an investment management and advisory firm

  • Assist in the creation and execution of a holistic risk based audit program across the business to provide meaningful observations and recommendations

  • Provide subject matter expertise on risk management issues, trends and best practices globally

  • Prepare and present results of risk assessments and internal audits

  • Monitor risk responses by management to key risk recommendations

  • Continue to develop and formalize risk standards and practices that align with the Institute of Internal Audit (IIA)

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of productive risk communications with functional leaders across the Firm

  • Prepare, maintain and update documentation on ER&A processes and procedures


  • Minimum of 7 years' experience, preferably in financial services/investment management.

  • Experience as a member of an Internal Audit or Risk Management function highly desirable

  • Experience in investment management and SOC 1 process analysis/design

  • Consulting background strongly desirable, with a solid understanding of process and systems controls and SOC requirements

  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies

  • Demonstrated, proven, and practical knowledge of value added risk/internal audit standards and practices

  • Excellent communications skills, capable of adapting messaging to various audiences clearly and succinctly

  • Understanding of the investment management regulatory environment

  • Skillful in managing multiple projects, reprioritizing as necessary, elevating for approval as appropriate

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10% annually

  • Able to work independently and in a team environment to manage and deliver quality results

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related discipline

VIEW JOBS 4/8/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-07T00:00 Description This role is responsible for the independent Enterprise Risk Management Oversight (ERMO) function for Fraud Risk Management within the "Second Line of Defense", and focuses on ensuring risk associated with internal and external fraud is consistently monitored, measured, governed and effectively managed across the Citizens Financial Group (CFG) footprint. In addition to overseeing that Fraud Management policies and protocols are sufficient and fit for purpose, the ERMO Fraud Director will work across Independent Risk Management (IRM), First Line Units (FLU), and business/corporate functions to ensure fraud controls are considered as part of operational risk management activities, incorporated into product or service risk profiles, adequately designed and operating effectively. The role will also ensure fraud exposures and losses are properly considered in the Risk Appetite program and that mitigation techniques are in line to prevent threshold and limit breaches. The ERMO Fraud Director will also develop enterprise fraud risk oversight and reporting routine(s) to monitor various fraud-related risks across products and services, and their alignment with relevant policy and risk management principles. This includes aggregation and evaluation of a number elements emanating from sources/areas which include but are not limited to: * Enterprise Fraud Management (EFM): fraud prevention, detection and operations (claims & recovery) * Cyber Security: customer information & data protection, logical security and threat monitoring * Corporate Security: investigations, physical security and insider threats * Credit Risk/Underwriting: loan fraud (various), default risk (fraud-related) and credit boundary events * Payment Security: wire, ACH and money movement * Conduct, Ethics & Compliance (incl. ID Theft/Red Flags, Privacy and AML/KYC) The position will collaborate with respective stakeholders to foster an open and honest risk management culture across relevant areas and ensure timely reporting and escalation of issues. The role will also collaborate across the enterprise with key fraud subject matter experts (SME) and support functions. Qualifications Required Skills/Experience: * Fraud Management: 10+ years fraud experience working in a large, complex financial service organization. * Compliance, Risk or Audit experience: 7+ years proven ability to lead and engage with Executive Management and regulators in the context of risk management at a large, complex financial services organization. * Background includes banking or Financial Services organization with deep understanding of the impacts Fraud risk presents in the sector. * Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with others at all levels across the organization and provide authoritative guidance to management and staff within the organization. * Strategic vision and organization/marketplace awareness. * Strong working knowledge of the risks associated with enterprise product and service mix and a track record of partnering with management to implement effective control and oversight programs. * Problem solving skills as well as flexibility and adaptability are of key importance. Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials: * Bachelor's degree required * Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified AML & Fraud Professional (CAFP), Certified eCommerce Fraud Investigator (CEFI), Cyber Intelligence/Forensics (various) and other related credentials/licensing or training in fraud, security and financial crime domains.
