The opportunity

Enterprise Risk is composed of internal audit, technology and data analytics professionals who serve the governance, risk and control needs of our clients. Our FSO Enterprise Risk practice, a specialty advisory practice within Business Consulting, provides comprehensive risk services through a suite of strategic, outsourcing, and industry-focused operational recommendations that help companies around the world evaluate and enhance their internal audit and risk management functions. We provide support across first, second, and third line of defense functions through our transformation, testing, and diagnostic services.

Your key responsibilities

You'll be responsible for supporting our clients in improving and sustaining a strong risk and control environment through a variety of service offerings, including the following:

  • Internal Audit co-sourcing and outsourcing,

  • Internal Audit transformation;

  • 1st and 2nd line control testing;

  • External quality assessment reviews;

  • Assessments and diagnostics; and,

  • ICFR, SOX readiness and optimization.

You can expect to work with high performing teams, clients and market leaders in the Property and Casualty, Health, Dental, and Life Insurance space. As you build knowledge and experience, you'll become a credible advisor to junior consultants within the organization as well as the clients.

Skills and attributes for success

On a typical day, you'll establish project objectives, prepare a project approach, perform analyses using advanced data analytics tools, prepare documentation, evaluate and review risks, processes and related controls, as well as assist in the preparation of the final project deliverables. We'll look to you to stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client's business, as well as display teamwork, integrity and leadership to support and value your team's contributions, fostering innovation.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor's degree in business or other related fields

  • 3+ years of related audit or applicable business experience

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • We would expect for you to be available to travel outside of your assigned office location at least 50% of the time, plus commute within the region. Successful candidates must work in excess of standard hours when necessary. A valid passport is required

Ideally, you'll also have

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related discipline

  • Around 3+ years of public accounting experience

  • Experience using advanced data analytics and tools

  • Experience in the Insurance industry (Life and Annuities, Health, Property and Casualty, InsurTech, Dental, etc.)

VIEW JOBS 11/23/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-02-21T00:00 <p>Job Description</p><p>Position Summary:</p><p>The Senior Treasury Analyst is responsible for the support and analysis of Stevens treasury functions relating to cash management and debt, along with recording cash entries in the general ledger system (Kuali Financial System). This position is part of the Division of Finance reporting to the Manager of Treasury Operations.</p><p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Daily and monthly cash entries for multiple-bank accounts; including cash entries related to wires, ACH, and cash transfers.</p></li><li><p>Primary contact for all cash and banking related activities which includes managing multiple bank daily cash position and university-wide cash flows; monitoring all bank balances and activity and resolving any problems; managing merchant card services, responding to inquiries regarding banking information.</p></li><li><p>Initiate wires, account transfers, and ACHs; ensure that all payments and receipts are made in the most efficient, fraud-resistant, and cost-effective method; execute required and contractual payments timely and accurately.</p></li><li><p>Prepare bond and grant requisitions for reimbursement when required; reconcile related accounts.</p></li><li><p>Assist with opening/closing bank accounts and maintaining account documentation.</p></li><li><p>Manage, transact, and report on the investments of Stevens working capital cash balance.</p></li><li><p>Investigate, research, and resolve requests and inquiries received from university-wide partners and/or banks</p></li><li><p>Optimize treasury management bank relationships, banking solutions, services, systems and fee analysis, support for credit card compliance requirements.</p></li><li><p>Assist in establishing treasury controls, procedures, and policies, and implementing process improvements.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with Executive Director of Treasury Management, Taxes, and Investments and budget and planning colleagues, this position will compile data to prepare university-wide cash flow analysis and projections which are reported monthly to the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees.</p></li><li><p>Support maintenance of the debt portfolio to ensure compliance with covenants and reporting requirements.</p></li><li><p>Serve as a backup to measure Private Business Use (PBU) related to Stevens's debt portfolio.</p></li><li><p>Provide necessary backup for the Senior Accountant.</p></li><li><p>Other projects and analyses as assigned.</p></li></ul><p>Required Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with emphasis on accounting and finance.</p></li><li><p>Minimum of three (3) years of related experience or equivalent therein.</p></li><li><p>Strong experience in accounting concepts and prior experience in journal entry processing.</p></li><li><p>Strong fundamentals in cash management and treasury concepts.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work with electronic banking, financial systems, extract data, and reconcile financial transactions.</p></li><li><p>High level of proficiency in Excel (i.e., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.) and other analytical tools, along with a willingness to experiment with and quickly learn new technologies.</p></li><li><p>Team player with excellent communication, time management, judgement, problem solving, and analytical skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to interact with partners at all levels of the university and third-party providers such as banks and consultants.</p></li><li><p>Respect for the confidentiality of department and university information.</p></li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation.</p></li><li><p>Experience in a college or university.</p></li></ul><p>Department</p><p>Treasury Operations</p><p>General Submission Guidelines:</p><p>In order to be considered a candidate for any job at Stevens, you must submit an online application.
