Position Description
Position Overview:
Under general supervision, the record analyst will assist in the maintenance of the County Records & Information Management Plan and will serve as a liaison to approximately 60 county departments. Assist in reviewing and improving records management processes, and provide consulting support as needed to map and improve the Information Governance Program. Responsibilities include writing procedures and providing training to users, conducting inventories, interviewing department staff, documenting procedures used to create schedules, maintaining Records Management systems, and responding to e-discovery requests.
Job Duties:
Communicate and interact with clients to provide effective Records Management trainings via phone, e-mail, MS Teams, or in person.
Partner with Universal Services training group to facilitate and teach Records & Information Management webinars
Acts as a liaison between user departments and the records center regarding records classification.
Assist with the development, implementation, and utilization of the Records Control schedule and Records & Information Management Plan. Identify records series and create descriptions following an initial analysis of a records collection to be incorporated into the RIM program.
Respond to e-discovery and PIA request by coordinating efforts shared by internal legal and IT departments.
Respond to specific records requests by searching, locating, retrieving, and delivering records or information through established procedures and delivery systems in a timely manner.
Create, distribute, and maintain documents in accordance with IGRM procedures. Audit Records and Information, in accordance with retention policy and established procedures
Maintain the internal and external web presence for the IG/RM department.
Processes obsolete records for destruction, in accordance with HC retention policy and established procedures.
Provide administrative support, encompassing tasks like typing, filing, scheduling, call handling
Review and analyze Incoming work orders for accuracy and proper classification.
Provide records management consulting and support to County Departments
Maintain the internal and external Share Point web presence for the Records Management division
Maintain and create internal learning guides, Develop, and revise retention schedules by evaluating records series according to business function.
Provide input to disaster planning efforts by assessing and documenting critical business processes.

Knowledge, Skill & Abilities (KSAs):
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 Suite
Communicate appropriately with stakeholders on tasks verbally and in writing
Knowledge of Information & Records Management Governance strategies/tactics and principles/techniques.
Develop and deliver presentations using various media to target audiences
Identify program gaps and formulate recommendations to management for program improvement
Keen on business analysis & project management techniques and ability to recognize conflicting data prior to data entry.
Ability to use imaging software and equipment, assist in management of physical boxes/files and identify and locate records information using available technology.

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday | 40hrs | 7:00 AM - 4:00PM
Regular Full-time | Onsite Position
May be required to work more than forty hours during the workweek and/or weekends and 24 on-call infrequently, as needed
Subject to performing other duties as assigned
Must live or plan to live in the Houston Texas metropolitan area.

Working on ladders, scaffolds, and lifts.
Subject to working with pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and scissor lifts.

Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
