Job Summary:

The primary role of this position is to partner with our Finance business to design and deliver new and innovative solutions to achieve strategic goals. This role will oversee transformational programs to directly benefit business results and ensure Invesco delivers a superior investment experience for its customers. This role will oversee a dynamic internal team partnering with external consultants to deliver these solutions and others.

A key responsibility of this role is to champion future state planning with the business to define and build a strategic multi-year roadmap of business capabilities.

The ideal candidate possesses the ability to develop strong relationships with business & technology leaders, ensure engagement practices are aligned to meet those goals and inspire and motivate an empowered workforce to achieve them. A proven track record of management and consulting practices delivering solutions in the Enterprise Performance Management area will enable success in this position.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Achieve business goals through delivery of innovative IT solutions

  • Collaborate with business partners to develop and deliver a multiyear capabilities based portfolio driven by business priority and client benefits

  • Initiate and grow strong relationships with business leads

  • Demonstrate success in delivering robust Finance solutions in the area of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM tools such as FCCS, HFM, EPBCS, FDMEE, Profitability) and Management reporting solutions (Essbase, OBIEE, data lakes, data visualization tools, etc.)

  • Technical architect for Finance EPM and Management reporting application solutions responsible for ensuring quality of all development, adherence to architectural standards, and continued improvement of technical skills of team.

  • Contribute deep knowledge in customer focused Finance technology

  • Utilize research and industry connections and experience and understanding of application landscape trends to assist with building, funding and acquiring capabilities for Invesco

  • Manage, mentor, and coach direct reports by establishing goals and objectives

  • Demonstrate experience as a team leader utilizing an iterative, Agile, Minimum Viable Product (MVP) approach to product development and delivery

  • Grow, develop and promote communication, skillsets, and productivity to achieve high performing teams

  • Negotiate and manage major IT application vendor relationships to drive value and performance

  • Create presentations based on analysis to communicate to business and technology leaders and team

  • Oversee operations across geographically diverse locations understanding business differences, legal and regulatory requirements, and cultural nuances

  • Aligns technology requirements with business goals

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technology focused discipline or commensurate relevant work experience with examples of self-driven further learning preferable.

  • 10 years of experience in IT industry with 3 years of experience managing global teams

  • Must have 7 years' of experience in business analyst or consulting positions, working in the Finance EPM and management reporting space (Oracle EPM products DRM/DRG, EPBCS, HFM, FCCS, FDMEE, Essbase, OBIEE, and other Business analytics/data visualization tools)

  • Experience designing and developing Financial Reports, Web Forms, Calc Scripts, MaxL, MDX, Business Rules, and Groovy Scripts

  • Expertise in Essbase ASO/BSO cube analysis, design and maintenance, database administration upgrades, performance tuning and optimization.

  • Experience with data analytics tools and knowledge of best practices for management reporting.

  • Knowledge of the Oracle EBS R12 financial modules (GL, AP, AR, CM, PO, iExpense, iProcurement, Fixed Assets) is preferred

  • Must have at least 4 full life cycle implementations and at least 2 years of support.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written), experiences in an international team and with international clients, interpersonal and teamwork skills, ability to handle multiple priorities

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technology focused discipline or commensurate relevant work experience with examples of self-driven further learning preferable

  • Should be skilled and experienced in leading organizations through strategic changes and getting positive results

  • Should have proven track record successfully managing teams at a consulting and leadership level to drive business improvements

  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand

  • Able to work in a global, multicultural environment

  • Structured, disciplined approach to work, with attention to detail

  • Disciplined time management skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work on more than one initiative at a time

  • Self-motivated. Capable of working with little or no supervision

  • Ability to react positively under pressure to meet tight deadlines

  • Able to work independently or as a team player

  • Enjoy challenging and thought provoking work and have a strong desire to learn and progress

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures

  • The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary

  • Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment

  • Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on call support by pager and/or cell phone
