Responsibilities

Integrates work of multiple organizations to meet strategic goals of AIR, AVS, and the FAA and directs the work of subordinate employees for multiple organizational projects and programs and across multiple functions and/or disciplines within a major AIR Division. The Section Manager supports the Branch Manager to execute daily operations, ensuring:

Section resources, activities, and stakeholders are aligned with AIR objectives; Section personnel and resources are developed consistent with AIR's future needs; Work environment and culture that emphasizes employee engagement, risk-based decision making, innovation, collaboration, communication, accountability, diversity & inclusion are fostered throughout the Section. Monitors and evaluates performance. Executes personnel actions and/or corrective/disciplinary actions.

Works to prepare employees for future opportunities across the division, with focus on continuity of operations and long term organizational success. Coaches, mentors, and develops employees to perform current work and support career progression for the future. Ensures employees have technical skills to accomplish their assigned tasks.

Monitors organizational health and regularly seeks input and feedback from employees. Establishes and enhances practices to encourage diversity and inclusion, communication, collaboration, and innovation in the resolution of issues. Communicates and regularly reinforces connectivity between subordinate employee activities and the broader AlR mission.

Defines and assigns accountability for key internal performance objectives. Engages personnel in monitoring key performance indicators and making adjustments necessary to achieve key performance objectives. Works with employees to identify resource needs and advocates for resources on behalf of the team.

Engages employees in documenting, refining, and assuring compliance with processes governing all activities. Assesses the productivity, quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of Section processes. Monitors and approves expenditure of funds.

Reviews and approves time and attendance and assures accurate labor distribution reporting. Assigns, communicates, and clarifies context for tasks and responsibilities. Oversees daily operations to ensure timeliness, effectiveness, efficiency, productivity, and compliance with policy in attaining organizational goals. Facilitates coordination and effective communication across FAA organizations, the aviation industry, other civil aviation authorities, and union representatives to accomplish work.

Specialized experience may include but not limited to: Experience planning, organizing, executing, and controlling an organization's resources, strategic plan, organizational management functions and human capital initiatives; Experience applying management concepts to solve and address the most complex general business and organizational management initiatives, problems and issues; Experience directing or overseeing activities or programs related to assessing and developing workforce.

The EOC is a 24/7/365 support organization providing assistance to LM customers around the world. The EOC specialist will be responsible for supporting LM Aero platforms in a variety of sustainment roles during and outside of normal business hours. Be responsible to perform both Operations tasks and administration type functions. This support will take the form of status reporting, technical support, supply support, administrative tasks such as data analysis, metrics, and other various support actions across F-35, F-22, C-130, C-5, F-16, and P-3 aircraft. The EOC specialist may be required to work a variety of shifts to include first, second, or third on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The candidate for this position will be assigned specifically to the 3rd shift, but may be requested to work other shift times due to filling in for other personnel who are on leave (vacation, illness, etc). Schedule changes may occur with short notice. Ultimately the candidate for this position must be able to work any shift (nights, weekends, and holidays). Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position is expected to be located in North Fort Worth, Tx at the F-35 Product Support Integration Center. * Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.* Basic Qualifications: Two years minimum related experience and/or bachelors degree. Must have prior aircraft maintenance (military or commercial) or aircraft supply chain experience. Experience making presentations to customer and company personnel. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite to include: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Excel, etc. Desired Skills: Familiarity with sustainment systems in use by the various aircraft programs is also preferred (e.g. Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), Field Information Network (FIN), Global On-Line Data (GOLD) catalogue system, JSF Data Library (JDL) etc.). Experience with IT systems and tools. Customer support skills and /or strong communication skills, verbal and written. Familiarity with aircraft maintenance and supply practices is preferred. Familiarity with web environment and SharePoint. Experience with the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) a plus.
