Role Summary

We have established a specialized, two-year rotational program for recent MBA graduates to develop business acumen and leadership abilities across the business. Successful applicants will be placed in four, 6-month customized assignments giving them exposure to senior management, as well as hands on experience across the enterprise.

This person will be integral to the success of our growth initiatives. In this role, this person will benefit from a tailored onboarding experience, work style assessments, day to day coaching and hands-on mentoring from senior executives. Managers will report into the Head of Business Strategy & Operations throughout the two-year program and rotate through MSG's business areas, including but not limited to - Corporate FP&A, Marketing Partnerships, MSG Live, MSG Sports, MSG Sports Properties, Corporate Development, Business Strategy & Operations, People Practices, Productions, and Venue Operations. Upon successful completion of the program, Managers will be placed in a director level job assignment commensurate with both their interests and skillset.

Specific Functions/Activities Summary

  • This person will support various organizations across Corporate FP&A, Marketing Partnerships, MSG Live, MSG Sports, MSG Sports Properties, Corporate Development, Business Strategy & Operations, People Practices, Productions, and Venue Operations. During the development program, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Work in a full-time position for two years with competitive annual salary, benefits, and employee perks Develop strong working relationships with colleagues Lead and participate in critical, cross-functional projects facilitated by senior executives through four, 6-month rotations across the business Identify, evaluate and determine business opportunities and prepare analysis and presentations for senior management of recommended enhancements to existing processes and procedures Work with a dedicated executive mentor

Qualifications

  • Must be a 2nd year MBA student from a top tier business school graduating prior to September 2020. 3-6 years' work experience prior to business school. Track record of work or academic experience with strategic analysis.

    Strong interest and dedication to pursuing a career in the Sports & Entertainment Industry. Ability to utilize expert knowledge to anticipate a wide range of future needs and opportunities. Experience developing effective working relationships in a matrix, cross-functional environment to drive business decisions - that means lots of change and quick, so you'll need to be agile and nimble in your approach to work.

    Broad business acumen and proven influencing and collaboration skills Exceptional ability to present ideas and deliverables in a compelling manner to a small or large audience at multiple levels Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Excellent project management and leadership skills. Comfortable working in an ever changing and ambiguous environment - that means lots of change and quick, so you'll need to be agile and nimble in your approach to work. Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Education

Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred. Educational requirements may differ from job to job based on the role.
