Job Responsibilities

As a Senior .NET Engineer, you will design and develop highly-scalable web applications that run non-stop around the globe. You will utilize the latest tools/technologies using agile methodologies to deliver financial solutions used by thousands of organizations.

What you will do:

The Senior .NET developer will be asked to provide developer support for the daily operations of the business including the following:

  • Designing, coding, and supporting leading-edge financial management web and mobile applications

  • Designing, developing, and enhancing large transaction and reporting based DBs

  • Designing and implementing improvements to the performance, usability, scalability, and maintainability of our software products

  • Mentoring and coaching less experienced/skilled team members

  • Influencing future technical direction

  • Communicating effectively with team members, customers , and audiences of all technical levels

  • Integrating our solutions with partner systems using a variety of protocols

  • Continuous improvement to processes and practices with new ideas, concepts, methods and technologies

  • Handling periodic on-call duty and out-of-band requests

Job Requirements

  • BS/MS Computer Science or related field, and/or relevant work experience

  • Working knowledge and belief in Agile values and principles

  • Working knowledge of Agile engineering practices with emphasis on Emergent Design, TDD, Refactoring, and Pair Programming

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative style with team members, stakeholders, and customers

  • Ability to lead through influence, mentoring, discussion, and example rather than relying on authority

  • 7 Years demonstrated experience with C#, .NET framework, and object oriented design/development.

  • 7 Years of demonstrated experience relational database design and implementation using MS SQL Server

  • 5 Years of demonstrated experience with ASP.NET and related technologies

  • 5 Years of experience in developing multi-tier enterprise class web applications

  • 5 Years of experience in development of automated unit, component, and integration testing

  • 4 Years demonstrated experience with Visual Studio including Visual Studio 2010

  • 3 Years demonstrated experience in SOA and web service development with WCF

  • Working knowledge of design patterns

  • Working knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and LINQ

  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio database projects

  • 3 Years demonstrated experience with Team Foundation Server with emphasis on source control, automated builds, and use of Agile or Scrum process template.

  • Experience with MVC, MVP, Entity framework, and NHibernate are a bonus

  • Experience in developing mobile applications is a bonus

As an UI Software Architect, you would be a senior technologist responsible for collaborating with engineering, product and QA teams to design and implement high quality, scalable front-end architectures for the Enterprise Records platform. The UI Software Architect is expected to lead the design and implementation of product release deliverables on time and with a high-level of application quality and performance for a web-based product that spans both on-premise, cloud, and mobile. The Enterprise Records team works in a fast-paced environment to support growing business objectives with a high degree of accountability. The UI Software Architect directly contributes to this effort by owning the design, execution and delivery of releases and fostering strong engineering practices. This role works within a larger Product team that includes QA and Product Management functions. Location Troy, Michigan Responsibilities * Provide business value by solving market problems that support first responder safety and operations for Law Enforcement and Fire agencies. * Design, develop and maintain responsive web applications providing exceptional user experiences on desktop and mobile devices. * Work and collaborate with a cross-functional team of product owners, UX designers, architects, developers and QA/automation engineers. * Be a mentor and inspire * Assist engineers with refining and packaging up their ideas to communicate with stakeholders highlighting business value * Embrace learning and take initiative to stay current with industry trends and technology * Bring new ideas and approaches to the team * Coordinate effectively across local and remote product teams * Clearly communicates ideas between Product, Development, QA and Leadership Qualifications * Expert level understanding of design principles for building and deploying highly available and scalable enterprise business web applications. * Strong test automation (unit, integration, performance) perspective and experience * Knowledge and understanding of up to date forward-looking web standards (e.g. Web Components, Service Workers) * Experience working with popular JavaScript Frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, etc.).
