The Enterprise Architecture team contributes to development and alignment of strategic functional and platform roadmaps, identifies opportunities for innovation and rationalization, and ensures that program/project architecture meets strategic objectives and is aligned to technology and architecture standards.

Duties / Responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop and maintain Enterprise Architecture (EA) As-Is and To-Be

  • Provide architecture review and advice on IT programs and projects.

  • Develop and maintain documentation concerning IT's technical architecture.

  • Audit application of technology assets to ensure appropriate and effective use of that technology.

  • Participate, as needed, in enterprise wide architecture presentations and sub-groups.

  • Develop standards and assist in the development of operating procedures to support new technologies.


  • Expert understanding of foundational architectural concepts and architecture frameworks and tools.

  • Experience with implementing enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HRMS, MES, ITSM) and defining architecture on large projects.

  • Modern technology trends awareness, experience with running POCs of innovative technologies and performing platform selection/trade-off analysis.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google), XaaS concepts, in-depth understanding of at least one of the leading platforms a plus.

  • Application Integration experience designing and implementing solutions with multiple integration platforms and patterns (e.g. SOA, API, on-premise/cloud).

  • Software development experience preferred.

  • Media & Entertainment industry experience a plus, but not mandatory.

  • Quality: experience designing solutions that optimize among quality attributes (e.g. security, scalability, usability, etc).

  • Proven influence/negotiation skills.

  • Systems Thinking the ability to see how parts interact with the whole (big picture thinking).

  • Knowledge of the business for which the enterprise architecture is being developed.

  • Interpersonal and leadership skills servant leadership, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

  • Emotional intelligence self-awareness, confidence, ability to manage conflict, empathy.

  • Communication skills, both written and spoken.

  • Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people understand.

  • Knowledge of IT governance and operations.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering.

  • Customer service and consultative orientation.

  • Time management and prioritization

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related technology degree strongly preferred.

  • Masters in Business or Masters in Technology preferred.

VIEW JOBS 1/22/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-21T00:00 Responsibilities This position is responsible for managing the Universal Parks & Resorts IT Governance and Cybersecurity functions and processes for Universal Studios Hollywood. This includes supporting the UPR IT Governance and Cybersecurity team for UPR-wide initiatives. Responsible for various compliance, cybersecurity, and business continuity initiatives, including: development of concepts into implementation plans; monitoring, analysis and execution of compliance and business continuity projects based on requirements including PCI, HIPAA, SOX, and Red Flag; and implementation and oversight of change management and release processes. This position is located in Universal City, CA, and reports directly to the VP in Orlando with reporting relationship to the SVP in Hollywood. * Oversee on-site Governance and Cybersecurity support to Universal Studios Hollywood. * Manage the Parks Technology change and release management processes for Universal Studios Hollywood in coordination with UPR and NBCUniversal. * Work with all Parks Technology Managers and Senior Managers to manage off-cycle requests; and ensure that stability, audit, and regulatory requirements are met. Ensure effective communications with UPR and NBCUniversal. * Manage the UPR IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity standards program and annual compliance audits for Universal Studios Hollywood. * Work closely with the multiple divisions outside of UPR IT to ensure SOX, PCI and Internal Controls compliance. * Manage Security and Compliance Awareness Training program to meet Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards are met. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements * Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience required. * 5 – 10 years of experience in a Compliance role that includes overseeing IT Compliance efforts, implementing new processes/standards, project management, and internal/external audit support. * Experience with hardware/software compliance lifecycle including regulations such as PCI, HIPAA, SOX etc.; ITIL Foundations preferred. * IT Business Continuity planning experience preferred, especially IT Disaster Recovery planning. * Working understanding of current national and international privacy requirements. * Working understanding of IT system platforms. * Extensive Payment Card Industry standards experience is preferred. * Extensive knowledge and experience working with applicable data security, compliance and privacy practice laws. * Overtime hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
