Amazon Web Services (AWS) needs an experienced deal lead to support the growing volume of complex cloud services agreements with large enterprise customers. The AWS Enterprise Deal Lead will support the field sales team in all aspects of putting in place complex cloud services agreements, from internal strategy through negotiation and closing. The AWS Enterprise Deal Lead will be responsible for leading discussions around the terms of the agreements, including creating proposals and rallying internal stakeholders (such as the legal, finance, security and compliance teams). The AWS Enterprise Deal Lead will work with the field sales team to facilitate smooth negotiations that develop and strengthen customer relationships.

You will be the lead negotiator for complex cloud services agreements with enterprise customers. You will understand the impact of contract terms, legal risk, compliance obligations, customer concerns, etc., and will be able to explain those terms to customers and identify ways to meet customers' needs, while protecting AWS's interests. You will lead the effort to resolve all customer questions and concerns in contract negotiations, including collaboration with internal experts on specific areas of concern.

You will be an expert in bringing the account teams and the customer to final closure on complex cloud services agreements, including briefing senior management on issues, driving approvals, creating final agreements, and managing their delivery and execution.

AWS Support is currently looking for a Deal Desk Manager to instantiate the Support Deal Desk. The ideal candidate has a background in sales and sales operations, business operations, finance and a background that enables them to establish practices that reflect the best interests of the business and our customers. The candidate will have the financial depth and business experience to easily communicate the economic benefits of AWS Support to executives and assist Sales teams in making the right recommendations. As we establish this function, the individual will wear many hats and will need to work cross-functionally with Support Leadership, Sales, BD, Finance, Legal, Business Operations, and other teams to establish standard policies and processes that seamlessly integrate into AWS-wide commercial operations. The individual will push manual processes automation, continuously improve internal controls, and drive relationship building across AWS. You will identify entry barriers to adoption of AWS Support and develop repeatable strategies and models to overcome these barriers. The ability to be influential, and work cross-organizationally is a must, and the successful candidate will have a keen sense of ownership and drive results. The individual will have excellent communication skills and the ability to present the complex in a clear and concise manner to senior management. * Ability to quickly address current state cross-functional process bottlenecks and design/implement our future state to address scalability and repeatability, drive automation and continuous improvement * Streamline, adapt and manage the approval processes, including liaising with involved internal groups such as Legal, Finance, Services, etc. * Work closely with sales and sales ops teams to make sure everyone is aware of approval processes and pricing constructs, and to quickly execute on deals that are in the pipeline. * Assist with complex contract negotiations, escalations and work cross-functionally with various stakeholders including but not limited to Sales, BD, Contracts, Finance, Legal, Security and Compliance to address custom deal requirements. * Design BI analytics for Support Commercial leadership and management for quarterly business reviews and reporting. * Build new/improving existing data reporting and processes. Report on monthly, quarterly and annual performance metrics and business forecasts * Sourcing, analyzing, and reporting quantitative data; perform ad-hoc analyses. * Analyzing trends, formulating projections, creating financial models, and evaluating alternatives. * Provide fact-based insights into variances and trends.
