Job Description We are looking for a cloud migration and modernization database architect to support the enterprise cloud roadmap from a data perspective.

Responsible to support cloud and infrastructure team with database operations in a multi-database engine environment with an emphasis on Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and AWS RDS.

In this role, candidate should have impeccable collaboration, communication, and troubleshooting skills, as well as a high level of initiative. In addition, you should be able to recommend and assist in the design of complex data/database architectures for current, short-term, and future states.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Comprehensive backup and restore capabilities including data guard

Collaboration with application, cloud, and infrastructure SMEs on database-related projects and tasks

Support to-be architectures for Oracle and SQL applications and workloads in the cloud

Possess and apply strong skillsets of multi-account cloud database design

Understand database architectures across on-premises, VMware Cloud on AWS, and AWS native environments

Aid operations and maintenance teams in routine tasks relating to performance, STIGs, patching, modernizing, and right-sizing, backups, restorations, migrations, etc.

Maintain oversight of cloud database metrics and statistics

Have experience with both WinServer and RHEL workloads

Can-Do attitude

In-depth experience in database capacity planning, querying, and automation

Support FORCE and government leadership in enterprise roadmap/planning of cloud database architectures

In this role you will create enterprise-level strategic business and technology solutions and work with technical specialists to devise and define strategic solutions for our customers' mission critical enterprise systems. <br><br> You will use your in-depth knowledge of business applications, applications development methodologies, database principles and techniques, and hardware/software operating systems to collaborate across the client enterprise at all levels to align the long-term technology and applications strategy with our government client's long-term business strategies.
