You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, architect scalable data solutions, and implement best practices for data management, integration, and analysis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, solve complex data challenges, and drive impactful insights that fuel our company's success.
Your responsibilities will include:
Expand and refine data architecture for SiriusPoint by collaborating with business and technology teams to maintain data warehouse strategies, data ingestion principles and Business Intelligence (BI) strategy.
Contribute thought leadership in areas of master data, data integration protocol, data management best practice, data architecture and database design to support the business.
Facilitate data governance processes across SiriusPoint.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture team to develop integration strategy and solutions to support efficient data exchanges throughout business processes, platforms and environments.
Advocate and enable BI and data warehouse strategies for SiriusPoint by exploring new cloud, big data, and BI best practice.
Create current and future state data architecture roadmaps. Align roadmaps with SiriusPoint overall technology principles and strategy.
Strategically design and implement data warehouses, data marts, and data stores while ensuring high levels of data availability, as well as architecture standards, disciplines, and principles.
Partner with Enterprise Architecture team to conduct research and make recommendations on data warehouse products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
Lead the design and implementation of our global Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture, extending the existing Financial Warehouse to incorporate additional insurance data domains such as Exposure, Reserving, Pricing and Claims, to name a few.
Develop and enforce best practices for data warehousing, data modeling and data integration.
Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and queries, optimizing processes for speed, efficiency and scalability.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable ETL processes.
Ensure the security, quality, and integrity of data within the data warehouse.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers within the team.

Your skills and abilities should include:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in data warehousing and data architecture.
5+ years of experience in the (Re)insurance industry.
Strong capabilities working with the latest business intelligence tools and technologies.
Proven experience with AWS cloud services, including Redshift, RDS, S3, DMS, and other relevant technologies.
Experience building and deploying lambda functions, working knowledge of Python, etc.
Comfort level with Cloud-based technologies specifically AWS and Azure.
Experience in leading large-scale data warehousing initiatives.
Strong understanding of data modeling, SQL, and ETL processes.
Excellent technical architecture and technical support documentation skills.
Excellent organizational, written, verbal and presentation skills.
Excellent critical thinking and analytical abilities, particularly in developing conceptual understanding of new topics for yourself and others.
Ability to work individually with limited oversight.
Strong leadership skills fostering collaboration and driving solutions within a data team.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Demonstrated ability to influence and work effectively within a global organization with employees at all levels.
Motivated, team-oriented, with strong problem-solving and project management skills.
SALARY: The estimated salary range for this position is $138,000 per year to $200,000 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only. In determining the actual salary within this range, SiriusPoint will consider a candidate's relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
