Job Summary:

The Director of the Enterprise Content Management(ECM) organization is tasked with the creation, ownership, and management of theECM Center of Excellence. This position requires a self-directed individual whocan set direction and influence others. The director will drive strongrecommendations, must use sound judgment and be a change leader, as this roleinvolves challenging the status quo, and generating support for new ideas andapproaches.

This function will be responsible for thegovernance and oversight of the content services portfolio across MUFG Americasand will ensure alignment with the goals of the Chief Data Office. The Directorof Enterprise Content Management will champion ECM across the organization;building partnerships with business, technology, and other key stakeholders. Thisrole will drive the governance and maturity of ECM across the enterprise,adoption, and innovation, by building and implementing a strong, cohesive ECM strategyand roadmap.


  • Manage the CDO Enterprise Content Management organization, leading the team in realizing MUFG America's vision of content data managed as an asset.

  • Build and drive the adoption of content management best practices and governance for existing and new technology capabilities across the organization.

  • Oversee and champion adherence to content lifecycle governance from creation to disposition.

  • Serve as the connection between business and technology units implementing the lifecycle processes, providing guidance and governance.

  • Baseline the current state of the Enterprise Content environments, identifying improvement opportunities, defining a future state vision, strategy and roadmap, then driving adoption and execution in partnership with key stakeholders.

  • Build partnerships with key stakeholders to create efficient processes to improve service delivery to our business users.

  • Act as an ECM subject matter expert and focal point for all ECM related efforts by creating and managing a centralized business engagement model for ECM.

  • Ensure governance for the following functional areas:

  • Document Management

  • Forms Management

  • Records Management

  • Case Management

  • Business ProcessManagement

  • Collaboration

  • Digital AssetManagement

  • Web Content Management

  • Knowledge Management


  • Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years of relatedtechnology experience with significant people management responsibilities.

  • Experience working in the financial servicesindustry with a track record of success in implementing large, crossorganization, unstructured, and semi-structured content management projects,and data migration projects.

  • Has deep experience with IT infrastructure, ITapplication technologies, frameworks and data management background.

  • Knowledge and experience in building governancefor cloud content solutions.

  • Experience in delivering comprehensive content managementand metadata requirements.

  • Has a strong understanding of control systems,relevant technologies, and how they interact with each other.

  • Experience managing an ECM team with bothoperational and project responsibilities.

  • Strong management, organizational, inter-personal,and evaluative skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintainproductive business relationships with internal partners and external vendors.

  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and team/directreport development skills, including career development.

  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, andcommunication skills.
