Enterprise Connectivity UBI Data Services Business Development Analyst

Are you interested in working on the future of B2B opportunities associated with vehicle connectivity? We are looking for an individual who wants to actively engage with B2B customers to deliver an excellent UX for Ford and Lincoln owners. The Usage Based Insurance (UBI) data services team is in start-up / launch mode and we need a high energy individual who can help B2B customers launch their products, further develop relationships, and conduct Voice of Customer dialogues to help identify future data products and enhancement opportunities. You will be working with established companies like Allstate and Liberty Mutual, as well as Insuretechs like Metromile, and big data aggregators / telematics service providers. This role will:

  • Deliver launch support for newly signed business customers / data quality certification process management for proof of concepts

  • Ensure customer intake and set-up is complete (this is a start-up business, so problem solving, and creativity are big pluses)

  • Support new product development and enhancement initiatives

What you'll be able to do:

  • Conduct customer and market research and benchmarking analysis

  • Problem solving and process improvement initiatives

  • Support development and running of proof of concept

  • Refine or define pricing models to optimize opportunities

  • Work closely with external and internal stakeholders to identify new innovative solutions and business models that support both Ford and partners' goals and objectives

  • Ensure that these solutions create value for Ford Motor Company, drives B-to-B revenue, and drives loyalty, customer satisfaction and revenue

  • Gather and document business requirements and business cases for products, applying outside-the-box thinking as needed to develop innovative outcomes

  • Act in a program manager capacity, coordinating cross-functional meetings across a wide array of stakeholders to ensure progress on solution delivery. Responsible for communication across key stakeholders to ensure alignment

  • Bring a broad understanding of and interest in key functional areas including product development, connected vehicle, engineering, data, legal, marketing, and others

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working laterally across large cross-functional teams with managing multiple business projects simultaneously

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing external supplier or customer relationships

  • Minimum of 5 years of Experience doing marketing research and/or competitive analysis

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience presenting and influencing business choices and direction at senior levels-both internally and external company's

Our Preferred Requirements:

  • MBA preferred

  • Prior experience supporting strategic partnerships with legal, purchasing, business, insurance and/or technical requirements

  • Prior experience in ecommerce, B2B product management, or management consulting

  • Strong natural and experience based business acumen

  • Strong aptitude for critical thinking and analysis - able to translate strategic plans into executable actions with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work across multiple tasks simultaneously; strong attention to detail and delivery track record

  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, hypotheses modeling, and methodology development

  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with bias for action

  • Comfortable in highly ambiguous environments, remains focused in spite of unexpected challenges; continues to seek a path forward

The Product Owner represents Ford business stakeholders, defines the characteristic of the product, owns and prioritizes the product backlog for IT. The Product Owner also represents DCDS to the Ford business community. This is a global position.
