Purpose of the Position:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for setting the direction and establishing the approach of the full EDI landscape at MBUSI, including but not limited to improving the architecture & system operations. In addition, the responsibility for evaluating, designing and implementing SAP (Systems Applications and Products) software programs for local MBUSI Supply Chain & Purchasing business units.

Essential Functions:

Evaluating internal production critical EDI & SAP logistics systems functions, IT SAP business development strategies for Supply Chain Demand Management/Disponent Cockpit, and IT processes and suggesting improvements.

Creating business architecture models for EDI backend & SAP application software to reflect the organization's strategies and goals in alignment to the Global Mercedes-Benz Standards & best practice

Evaluate Data Analytics & Business Intelligence reporting opportunities to support local supply chain material planning strategies.

Facilitate the adoption of new SAP technology-based solutions to relevant business users & processes.

Evaluating local & critical JIS supplier EDI systems middleware engineering and architecture models for discrepancies and vulnerabilities which might pose a risk to MBUSI production critical material supply

Suggesting ideas to reduce costs in IT.

Organizing technical training to improve employees' knowledge and skills for future organizational growth.

Conducting research in talent management to improve the organization's business operations.

Providing business architecture and systems processing guidance.

Ensuring the efficiency, security, and support of the organization's goals as per Mercedes-Benz Information Security mandates

Creating methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, and change control.

Determining and implementing build versus buy strategies, mentor personnel, and views of the overall business strategy. Responsible for developing and executing a Development Operations (DevOps) strategy to ensure quality software deployments and overall application health and performance.

Optimizes relationships between the development, quality assurance and IT operations teams.

Promotes communication, integration, and collaboration for enhanced software development productivity. Develops infrastructure to incorporate latest technology best practices and improve operational performance. Requires broad technical knowledge and experience across a variety of IT areas, including infrastructure, development, operations, and quality assurance.

Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.

Work safely 100% of the time.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifikationen

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering/Computer Science, Finance, Supply Chain/Operations Management or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

Experienced Level: A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Finance

Senior Level: A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Finance

Expert Level: A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Finance

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:

Creating, managing & maintaining:

EA documentation framework, EA components, current EA views, future EA views, an EA Management and Transition Plan and multi-level threads that include security, standards, including workforce planning.

Business Analyst Core Skills including Communication, Problem Solving & Critical Thinking Skills

Problem-Solving Skills to manage SAP Supply Change Incident Containment & long term preventatives

Critical Thinking Skills support strategic initiatives in alignment to global strategy High Level Communication skills to support the stakeholder decision making process.

Preferred Skills:

Ability to develop relationships within the organization to successfully lead projects and tasks with internal and external business partners

Ability to work independently on high level tasks
