MITRE's Enterprise Transition Planning and Execution Department applies capabilities and methodologies such as Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Transition Planning and Execution, Shared Services, Business Process Engineering, and Business Analytics to support transformation planning and decision making. We are looking for junior members of the technical staff to join our Department, where you will have opportunities to grow your skills to address complex issues, working hands-on and alongside MITRE experts.Description:We are looking for creative and driven candidates looking to make a difference for our government sponsors, a desire to work on large and complex problems, and a passion to contribute to our department's MITRE's capabilities in enterprise architecture, shared services, and transition planning.This is an entry level or junior position.
Participate in and support our department with the following activities:
Working with MITRE experts to help government leaders in defining the vision and direction of change through a period of major government transformation.
Helping government sponsors translate their vision, mission, goals, and strategies into actionable programs with defined measures.
Assisting in analysis and development of systems engineering design and execution at the US department and agency level.
Assisting with assessment of alignment of services and technologies with desired business/mission strategies, business processes, roles, organizational structures, and technology standards.
Supporting project teams creating deliverables for our sponsors.
Creating artifacts, models, and visualizations for use internally or with sponsors.
Assisting our capability experts with knowledge management, research and other efforts to grow our body of knowledge in our key capability disciplines.
Undergraduate BS or MS in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems Management, Enterprise Architecture, or other business problem-solving disciplines.
3.0 or better Grade Point Average.
Familiarity / understanding the creation of systems engineering artifacts including Unified Modeling Language, Business Process Modeling Notation, and/or Entity Relationship Diagrams.
Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US government security clearance.
Understanding of DODAF / TOGAF or related EA methodologies.
UML experience is a plus!
Experience creating visualizations such as customer journey maps and dashboards.
Exposure or experience in systems analysis and integration, data modeling, software/system design, requirements analysis, and/or business process analysis.
Exposure or experience with Microsoft Visio, Microsoft PowerPoint, or advanced requirements and systems modeling tools.
Exposure or experience in knowledge management and research.
