Enterprise Architects provide high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff. Develops architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines. Develops strategy of system and the design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy. Advises on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development. Advises of feasibility of potential future projects to management. A Secruity+ certification would be a huge plus.

  • Provides system/solution-level architectural expertise and data governance and management support to managers and technical staff in the TRANSCOM Enterprise Data Management Office (EDMO).

  • Experience with RedHat Linux

  • Experience with Citrix

  • Support USTRANSCOM in the design and construction of Cyber Dependency Analysis Architecture (CDAA) which provides the facility to map missions to the systems that support them and then to the network infrastructure those systems require in order to communicate.

  • Design DoDAF-compliant business architectures for enterprise data management processes to support total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements.

  • Processes architected for the EDMO include:

  • Data Security/Risk Management, Metadata Management, Data Acquisition, and Master and Reference Data Management.

  • Document USTRANSCOM guidance for data security and metadata management in Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE) information systems.

  • Develops data access policies and guidelines for the Enterprise Data and Analytics Environment (EDAE). Advises the government of feasibility of potential future projects.

  • Conducting update cycles for the Combined Network Architecture-NIPR (CNA-N) and extending that architecture to address the USTRANSCOM SIPR Network with the Combined Network Architecture -- SIPR (CAN-S).

  • Bachelor's Degree

Certifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance (Mandatory)
  • Security+ (Preferred)

Responsibilities (a) Serves as subject matter expert, possessing in-depth knowledge of a particular area, such as business, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or the various sciences. Knowledge/Skill Description: * Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. * Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. * Has domain and expert technical knowledge. * Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. * Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. * Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. * May supervise others. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Management or Related Field. * 3-5 years of experience preforming the duties and responsibilities. * Experience may substitute for educational requirement. * Must have excellent oral and written skills. * Active Secret clearance required. * Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
