Position Overview: As an Enterprise Architect, you will serve as a technical expert, collaborating closely with business analysts and engineers to gather requirements and translate them into an architectural blueprint. Your primary responsibility will be to define and design systems and applications architecture for current and future business applications. Additionally, you will work closely with infrastructure, application, and quality teams to ensure that applications meet business requirements, are well-documented, and have processes in place for ongoing support and maintenance. This role requires a deep understanding of both business information and technical requirements, as well as the ability to drive standard and efficient applications and infrastructure design.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

  • Define and design systems and applications architecture for both current and future business applications.

  • Partner with infrastructure, application, and quality teams to ensure applications meet business requirements, are well-documented, and have processes in place for ongoing support and maintenance.

  • Drive standard and efficient applications and infrastructure design by aligning the infrastructure roadmap with the application technology strategy, hardware vendor roadmaps, and service capabilities.

  • Assist in identifying emerging technologies that could positively impact the organization and evaluate their strategic fit.

  • Contribute to technology strategy through consulting support, driving requirements gathering, collection of existing deployment plans, synthesis of business goals, and operating strategies.

  • Apply architectural principles, guidelines, standards, reference architecture, patterns, and frameworks to deliver consistent views in support of technology strategy and portfolios.

Nature and Scope:

  • Problems are typically defined by higher-level leadership and are difficult; solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Decides how to achieve planned results within the organization's plans, policies, and guidelines; may set or change plans/goals within the respective department or area.

  • May manage the department via multiple layers of managers or directly supervise a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level.

Education and Experience:

  • Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline.

  • Generally, 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • This is a remote position.

  • Master's degree in information systems or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise data architecture in a global company.

  • Experience with the design and implementation of high-availability applications infrastructure on a wide variety of computing platforms.

  • Previous experience in implementing new technologies, converting technologies, and managing technology.

  • Experience running an Architectural Review Board, facilitating meetings and group projects.

  • Experience in solution design, deployment projects, modeling and graphical representations, and abstractions.

  • Working knowledge and experience developing and building models based on The Enterprise Framework.
