The Enterprise Architect plays a key role in translating the vision and strategy of the company into a cohesive, sustainable, and scalable architecture. The Enterprise Architect must be able to assess current capabilities, propose solutions, provide vendor selection analysis, and recommend development when necessary to maintain or extend applications. In addition, the Enterprise Architect needs to help bridge the gap between the business and IT, clearly communicating with all levels of the organization, and equally balancing outcomes at a Corporate, Provider, Client, and User level. This role requires an intimate understanding of business functions, technology, and processes. The role is involved throughout the project life cycle with emphasis on the initiation, feasibility, and analysis phases.
Supports senior leadership by planning and championing the execution of broad initiatives aimed at delivering value to internal and external stakeholders
Leverages data, technical, and business knowledge to drive the development of capability frameworks at portfolio and enterprise levels
Works with the business in the development of strategies, roadmaps, and solutions, analyzes technology capabilities, drives new solutions to reduce technical debt and cost and increase business value
Builds and supports the long-term strategic roadmap for all IT software and systems architecture which includes the development and ongoing maturity of software development, web, mobile and cloud technologies, data analytics and business intelligence
Collaborates closely with teams participating in strategic planning, facilitating cross-team solution reviews and communicating strategy direction
Analyzes existing systems, processes and architectures to make recommendations for improvement
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities
10 years experience in Information Technology at a customer-focused, consumer-centric financial services organization or related industry
6 years experience building enterprise architecture roadmaps and demonstrated experience as the architect on large projects
Experience with DevOps, Agile, Business Analytics
Experience in architecting, designing, developing, integrating, and managing complex software and systems solutions
Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments; ability to assimilate new and existing technologies
Ability to translate business needs into formal requirements
Ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and benefits/impacts of new technologies
Ability to simplify & standardize complex concepts and processes
Strong proficiency in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project and MS Visio
Travel to a variety of locations to perform work and/or attend meetings as required.
Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position. Some overnight travel required.
Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30lbs.
