The Epic Real Time Eligibility (RTE) Analyst is responsible for the Epic setup, configuration, and maintenance of benefit plans eligibility querying with respect to benefit filings, copay accuracy, filing order accuracy, query chaining, auto coverage creation, non-par alerts, and data accuracy with the data pulls from the vendor. The RTE Analyst will provide customer support related to routine RTE maintenance and need to be able to effectively communicate RTE related issues to internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders for issue investigation/resolution. The RTE Analyst is also responsible for routine maintenance relating to month-end and month-beginning, as well as key start date for benefit plan changes (such as beginning of the year or fiscal year). The RTE Analyst will be responsible for troubleshooting slow response and/or payor downtime issue, denial analysis, reporting, and perform other RTE maintenance as needed.

Position: Sr. Enterprise Application Analyst

Essential Accountabilities

  • Understand the core functionality of Epic Real Time Eligibility specific to payor query and responses, benefit filing, copay mapping, and service type mapping related to patient care

  • Provide ongoing build, support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of any Epic RTE related build

  • Be an effective communicator, providing verbal or written communication to a diverse group of business stakeholders describing the impact of the RTE problem

  • Participate and sometimes lead meetings reviewing RTE-related issues affecting patient service representatives/registrars pertaining to direct patient care with respect to accurate benefit information

  • Perform reporting tasks relating to, but not limited to denial analysis, copay collection ratio, copay accuracy, and filing order accuracy

  • Perform routine build and testing relating to regular RTE maintenance, as well as for Epic upgrades

  • Build, test, support, and maintain Workqueues

  • Provide support to other Epic analysts pertaining to RTE and/or billing as it relates to patient care and support

  • Build, test, support, and maintain coverage filing order tables

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in office automation systems (MS Office applications) is required.

  • Working knowledge of imaging workflow as it relates to cardiology, radiology, and other clinical areas is required.

  • Working knowledge of imaging data transfer and storage requirements and DICOM is required.

  • Familiarity with information systems (RIS, HIS, CIS), and specifically MLH's information systems, is required.

  • Familiarity with PACS operation and functionality, and preferably MLH's PACS, is required.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of the job is required.

  • Incumbent must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as solid organizational skills.

Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years recent healthcare digital imaging/PACS experience is required.

  • Minimum three (3) years recent multi-ology (e.g., radiology, cardiology, perinatology) PACS experience is preferred.

  • Minimum three (3) years recent experience with MLH's PACS systems is preferred.

  • Relevant information system experience is preferred.

Education:

Associate degree or equivalent relevant IT experience required.

Bachelor's degree in related healthcare or information systems discipline preferred.
