Overview
The Enterprise Analytics Application Developer
- Intermediate is a developer focused on building advanced data visualizations and basic data marts on the Analytics Application Development team within the Cone Health Enterprise Analytics department. The Enterprise Analytics Developer ? Intermediate is responsible for building and implementing data marts inside the Enterprise Data Warehouse and is responsible for designing, building, implementing, and supporting automated data visualizations (applications, dashboards, and reports). This work will be performed in accordance with enterprise standards, industry best practices, and with the expectation of fully meeting customer requirements.
Successful performance of this role is demonstrated by the timely completion of all assigned project goals, which contribute to the overall provision of quality, efficient and effective analytic solutions. These solutions will support the data-driven decision making efforts required for delivering excellent, cost-controlled patient care across the continuum. In addition, this position promotes high standards in regards to effective departmental service and customer service.
What this role is not: Data analysis using Excel, writing database queries and manually exporting the data, creating simple reports, building non-automated solutions that require routine manual intervention.

Responsibilities
Engage in all aspects of the development life cycle
- Discover, Define, Design, Develop, Deploy, and Document data visualizations in support of the data-driven strategy and analytic priorities of the organization.-----------------------------------------------Proactively collaborates and discusses approaches for optimal data visualization testing and actively participates in such validation and testing activities.-----------------------------------------------Provide guidance and training for data extraction, data visualization, and data security and participates in solution training for customers. -----------------------------------------------Actively participates and materially contributes to the technical aspects of defining, documenting and implementing best practices (standards, processes and procedures). -----------------------------------------------Maintain knowledge of new, development techniques and/or technologies and their application.-----------------------------------------------Provide maintenance and support for production data visualization solutions including participation in an on-call rotation. -----------------------------------------------
Qualifications
EDUCATION:REQUIRED:Bachelor's degreePREFERRED:Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Analytics, Mathematics or other computer-related field. EXPERIENCE:REQUIRED:Four (4) years of experience building data visualizations using business intelligence, analytic, or enterprise level reporting tools.Four (4) years of experience performing data extraction of large, complex data sets leveraging T-SQL.Demonstrated experience working with large, complex, relational or multi-dimensional data warehouses. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED:Positions on the Epic Analytics Application Development team require Epic Clarity Data Model certification within six months of employee start date.Valid driver's license
- If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.PREFERRED:Microsoft SQL Server, Data, or BI CertificationTDWI Certified Business Intelligence ProfessionalEpic Reporting Workbench, Radar, Caboodle, or other Epic Data/Analytic Certifications
