About The Job

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Account Executive to join our sales team as we expand our portfolio into new geographies. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving the sales growth of our software products and solutions. You will identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. This role requires a strong understanding of the software industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. This position reports directly to the VP of Enterprise Sales, Americas.

You can be located anywhere in the US, but you must be close enough to an airport to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Identify and target new business opportunities through networking, market research, lead generation, partners, and prospecting activities.

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with clients and partners to understand their business challenges, goals, and requirements.

  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements for both the company and the client.

  • Proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue from existing Brightly and Siemens accounts.

  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). The primary measure of success in this role is bookings.

  • Collaborate with the product development and marketing teams to provide feedback on market trends, emerging technologies, customer needs, and competitive intelligence.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and customer success, to drive customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Act as the primary contact for assigned accounts and partners, understanding their business needs, challenges, and goals.

The base salary pay range for this position is $107,500- 145,000 and the annual commission target is 50-100% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher, depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.

What You Need to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or other similar discipline

  • Proven track record of success in software sales, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets

  • 5+ years of experience selling enterprise software with average deal sizes above $250k

  • Experience with fiscal budgeting, and grants at the local/state/federal government level

  • Prior knowledge and experience working in partnerships with a government relations team or associations.

  • Proficient with enterprise sales process, techniques, and deal qualification frameworks such as MEDDPICC

  • Proven track record of accurate sales forecasting, sales process management, and successful attainment of quota across multiple product lines, with average deal sizes over $250k

  • Experience with account-centric selling, key account management, and managing account teams.

  • Familiarity with public works departments, IT, finance, and/or asset managers at the local/county/state GOV level

  • Experience with asset management software (or an adjacent area) for local/state government.
