Summary
Provide front line service support for Enrollment Services and other student success initiatives as needed, on any campus. Enrollment Specialists are trained to provide support to Registrar, Student Financial Services, Financial Aid, and Veterans to efficiently serve the students of Illinois Central College. As an Enrollment Specialist, you will often encounter new challengers and inquiries from students that require prompt, proactive, and accurate response. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and proactive possessing a strong aptitude for learning quickly and adapting to a fast-paced work environment.
Enrollment Specialist must be available to work night and weekend hours during peak enrollment periods. Enrollment Specialist will float between the East Peoria and Peoria campuses as need rises.
Essential Functions

Communicate policies, procedures, and instructions to potential and current ICC students and parents including but not limited to admissions, records, student financial services, and financial aid.
Develop a deep understanding of student accounts, records, and financial aid to answer student questions accurately.
Identify and resolve student concerns, complaints, or issues in a timely, empathetic, and proactive manner, striving for first-contact resolution.
Maintain clear and professional communication with students, co-workers, and supervisors through various communication channels.
Assist with outreach calling for recruitment, retention and retention purposes.
Assist students with all aspects of the enrollment process from admission to completion.
Assist ICC students regarding their student financial aid and account obligations.
Assist students through the financial aid application and acceptance process and serve as liaisons to the financial aid department.
Assist students on the satisfactory academic progress (SAP) standards and with the appeal process if the academic standards have not been.
Assist students and parents with the online payment system, which includes online tuition payment, online payment plan enrollment, establishing a direct deposit refund account and authorizing users in the online payment system.
Perform cashiering functions as related to student account payments and department receipts.
Assist with records and data management processes to create a more efficient business environment.
Maintain accurate and current documentation and stay current on processes related to all functions in Enrollment Services.
Assist with the tracking of all office documents, forms, catalogs, student records, and communications.
Provide back-up assistance for other Enrollment Services departments as needed.
Respond to email and voicemail inquiries and answer phone calls.
Perform cashiering functions.
Perform related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Associate degree or 3 years of experience with Title IV financial aid or customer service (or equivalent work experience).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong typing skills (ability to type 45 wpm).
Strong customer service skills.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong ability to work independently and in collaboration with other.
Access to a secure, high speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace to ensure a professional and efficient work environment for occasional remote work as needed.
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others.
Strong analytical skills to assess a student record and financial aid status to assist students with their next steps.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with technology with ease and navigate multiple software applications and/or CRM system.
Preferred Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skill and abilities. A typical way to obtain these would be:
Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, social work, world language or related field.
1-3 years of experience with federal title IV financial aid.
Experience working with PeopleSoft enterprise system.
Experience working in a CRM system.
Knowledge of state and federal financial aid guidelines and regulations.
Knowledge of enrollment procedures and requirements.
Knowledge of managing admissions, enrollment, and financial records for students.
Fluent in a second language.
