The Office of Graduate Enrollment Services is looking for an enrollment coordinator with strong communication skills. Primary responsibilities for this position include the following duties: oversee all matters pertaining to a graduate student's academic record from admission to graduation; interpret and enforce Graduate School policies and procedures to applicants, students, faculty and staff; research and evaluate foreign and domestic educational documents to determine academic admissibility conduct training and workshops on Graduate School policies and procedures; provide continuous guidance to graduate program staff in college departments; ensure that specific requirements for specialized programs such as Integrated Undergraduate/Graduate and Joint Degree programs are being handled in accordance with prescribed procedures and degree requirements while resolving any discrepancies; analyze and review graduate student records to confirm eligibility for conferral of degrees; compose memos and letters to students, faculty and staff; assist with functions pertaining to the commencement ceremony; represent the Graduate School at community programs and fairs.
Additional duties for this position include drafting correspondence and training materials for the academic community. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in higher education and using student information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft or LionPATH) is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Requires excellent judgment in problem solving.
