The Registrar Department is seeking Enrollment Services Assistant, Senior to join the already awesome team taking the Building Services Department to the next level of excellence!

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

General Description:

The primary role of the Enrollment Services Assistant Senior is to make decisions on students' petitions for in-state status for tuition payment purposes and requests for out-of-state tuition waivers. The Enrollment Services Assistant Senior examines all the facts in each case and decides whether the student's outward manifestations demonstrate that domicile has been established in the state of Georgia and maintained for twelve consecutive months immediately preceding the first day of classes for which in-state status is requested or that the student is eligible for an out-of-state tuition waiver.

Essential Duties:

  • Interpret the BoR's policies, guidelines, and procedures regarding in-state tuition classification and out-of-state tuition waivers.

  • Process students' petitions for instate status and applications for out-of state tuition waivers.

  • Notify students of petition decisions.

  • Assist with the organization of the appeals process for those students who wish to dispute the decision/outcome.

  • Function as a representative for the office and the University at the BoR's tuition classification workshops and conferences.

  • Monitor and respond to Salesforce tickets and email inquiries regarding tuition classification and provide front desk assistance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Background Check

Successful candidate must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation and other background searches as applicable to the job such as credit check and Motor Vehicle Record.

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Knowledgeable of university policies and procedures, Family Educational Rights Privacy Act (FERPA), Board of Regents' (BoR) tuition classification policies and guidelines.

  • Experience reviewing legal documents, immigration documents, State of Georgia 500 income tax return and the Federal Government 1040 income tax return, property deeds, rental and lease agreements, voter registration information, and vehicle registration forms.

  • Ability to multi-task; pay attention to detail; and exhibit excellent customer service skills.

  • Experience with the Banner Student Information System.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
