Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Assist with On-Site Registration:

o Facilitate registration for Adult Basic Education (ABE) and credit courses.

o Provide support during peak registration periods.

2.Serve as Backup for Phone Calls and Window Services:

o Answer phone calls and assist students and visitors at the service window.

o Provide information and direct inquiries to appropriate departments.

3.Assist Students with Applications and Registration Issues:

o Help students complete applications and resolve registration problems.

o Offer guidance on course selection and scheduling.

4.Assist with Major Changes:

o Support students in changing their major or program of study.

o Ensure proper documentation and communication with relevant departments.

5.Serve as Point Person for Student Communications:

o Act as the primary contact for student inquiries and communications.

o Distribute information and updates to students via email, phone, and other communication systems.

6.Work in All Student and Applicant Communication Systems:

o Utilize the college's communication platforms to manage student and applicant communications.

o Ensure timely and accurate responses to inquiries.

7.Provide Clerical Support for the Dean of Student Services:

o Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling, filing, and preparing documents.

o Assist with special projects and events as needed.

8.Additional Responsibilities:

o Coordinate student orientation sessions and workshops.

o Maintain student records and update databases as necessary.

o Collaborate with other departments to enhance student services and support.

o Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with trends in student services.

9.Other Duties as assigned

Required Education:

o Bachelor's degree in communication or a related field required.

o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

o Flexible and adaptable to changing needs and priorities.

o Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

o Experience in higher education preferred.
