Requirements / Qualifications

Drama Assistant Qualifications: Education Associate's degree or equivalent preferred in Education, Recreation, Human Services, Fine Arts, or field related to the course that will be taught.

Experience Three years of previous experience in the enrichment content area. Successful completion of a culmination project associated with the content area (ie: dance performance, recital, art show, concert, skill demonstration or presentation). Extensive experience in working with diverse student populations. Knowledge and Abilities Skilled in coordination and project management.

Ability to work effectively with adults and students in a supervisory capacity. Ability to exercise good judgment and tact to problem solve effectively. Highly skilled in handling crises and emergency situations.

Ability to speak and write effectively. Ability to use computer programs related to performance responsibilities. Knowledge of social, personal and physical development of children.

Knowledge of school district operations and procedures. Knowledge of state and federal laws relating to confidentiality of students records, due process, as well as child welfare.
