Intern in the Systems Analysis and Validation (SAV) Discipline in the Engine Development Group. The SAV discipline provides engineering support for development engine tests and propulsion systems test and functional validation across the P&W product lines, while focusing on engine systems functional understanding, learning and validation through both analytical tools and data.
The SAV engineer is responsible and accountable for test and analysis plans coordination, create the integrated test plan, understand instrumentation requirements, generate pre-test predictions and define run programs, participate in on-site or remote test coverage, data management and validation with focus on data and execution quality, complete post-test data analysis and auditing of functional requirements, and provide content for the test report and documentation. In addition, the engineers are actively engaged in SAV Discipline improvement activities and knowledge management. You will develop proficiency in engine matching principles, data analysis techniques, and use the engine simulation to predict engine behavior.
Do you meet these Basic Qualifications?
You're in an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering degree program.
Fields of study: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or Engineering Technology
You will have at least 30 credits prior to starting your internship
You have a GPA of 3.2 or higher
ABET accreditation required.
