Engraving Operator

Navitor Specialty Products is seeking an Engraving Equipment Operator to run semiautomatic machinery that engraves print patterns, designs, logos, or lettering on metal and plastic material. You will monitor quality during the engraving process to detect incomplete engravings and identify necessary adjustments, and inspect the finished product for uniformity and defects.

Shift Available:

Monday - Friday 7:00am 3:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately read order blanks, retrieve necessary products, set-up equipment and produce orders to customer specifications

  • Maintain high level of quality through set standards

  • Maintain high level of production through set standards

  • Record information on production card

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience in a production related environment preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail and analytic problem-solving skills

  • Work well independently as well as in a team environment

  • Basic math and computer skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis

Your Responsibilities: * Set up and operate a printing press to produce special occasion items such as invitations, napkins, holiday cards, etc. * Troubleshoot mechanical and printing issues, making adjustments and corrections to meet production and quality standards as needed * Inspect finished products for imperfections and proofread to ensure copy is correct * Change ink, foil, and die cuts per instruction * Pull appropriate amounts of stock for various orders * Periodically washing press with solvent and perform routine maintenance on equipment Your Shift: * Friday through Sunday 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM You Must Have: * Desire to grow within the company. * Team player. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and challenging environment We Would Also Prefer: * Mechanical Experience. * Leadership Experience.
