Title: High School English
Status: 1.0 FTE - 4 Day Schedule
Essential Job Duties
Delivers 9-12th Grade English Curriclulum aligned to our ELA Implementation
Attends and participates in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, and other meetings as required.
Provides an appropriate educational program for each student.
Complies with Board policies, rules, regulations, and directives.
Plans curriculum, lessons, and High School programs and teaching methods.
Monitors students’ progress in an inclusive learning environment.
Maintains regular contact with parents of students.
Evaluates student progress based on work output and observation, determines goals, objectives, and directions.
Prepares report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other forms.
Consults with other professionals and teaching staff regarding progress of students and related educational matters.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
Ability to follow oral or written work orders and to coordinate work with principal and others.
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
Ability to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups and utilize specific, job-related equipment.
Ability to problem solve to analyze issue.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, the public, and staff members.
Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Ability to manage time and responsibilities, adapt to changing work priorities, communicate with diverse groups, maintaining confidentiality, meet deadlines and schedules.
Ability to set priorities, work as part of a team and work with and manage frequent interruptions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of student matters.
Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board policies.
Ability to schedule activities, meetings, and/or events, gather, collate, and/or classify data and use job-related equipment.
