ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS(ELL) PARAEDUCATOR - BILINGUAL (TRAVELING)
LOCATION: Frontier Middle School
REPORTS TO: ELL Director / Principal
DEPARTMENT: ELL

Bilingual - Spanish Speaking Preferred

Hours / Work Times

3 Hours Per Day (times to be determined)

190 Days Per Year (180 student days/10 holidays)

This position will remain open until qualified applicants have been selected. The earliest date a recommendation for hire may be submitted is after 06/17/2024.

Travel may be required daily.

This position is expected to begin August 27, 2024

Must meet Paraeducator Employment Requirements as follows*:
Be at least eighteen (18) years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent; AND
Must meet one or more of the following:
Have received a passing score of 455 or higher on the Education Testing Service ParaPro Assessment (ETS test/PRAXIS); or
Hold an Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university; or
Have completed a Paraeducator Apprenticeship Program (program must be registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council).

• If you do not meet the required qualifications listed above, your name will be screened out from the list of qualified candidates.

Upon hire, new paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through Evergreen School District.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Under the supervision of the classroom instructor and the building Principal, the ELL Paraeducator will assist in the supervision of instructional activities, working closely with students on an individual as well as a small group basis on English language acquisition and basic skills.

*Specialty Language Preferred - speaking Paraeducators will perform additional duties as specified under
