Position: English as a Second Language Teacher

Location: Willmar Public Schools, Area Learning Center and Prairie Lakes School(Grades 7-12)

Type: Full-Time - 7.5 Hours per day, 182 Contract days (168 Teaching days)

As an English as a Second Language Teacher with Willmar Public Schools, you'll have the chance to:

• Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with district curriculum standards inclusive of the Standards Based Learning model.

• Deliver high-quality instruction to high school students.

• Assess student progress and provide valuable feedback.

• Collaborate with fellow educators daily with common prep time and Professional Learning Communities.

• Collaborate with parents and families through individual conferences prior to the start of the school year.

• Collaborate with Instructional Coaches and Administrators using the Marzano Focused Teacher Evaluation, Growth, and Professional Development model.

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.

• Valid teaching license or certification in English as a Second Language. (Willing to seek OFP's, Tier 1, Tier 2 licenses)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
