Eastchester High School

The Eastchester School District is seeking a dedicated High School ENL Teacher for a leave replacement position. The position will start approximately around August 28 and will extend until approximately November 1, with the potential for a longer duration. The ideal candidate will have experience in high school working in English and Social Studies classes. The ideal candidate should also have experience administering both NYSESLAT and NYSITELL to students.

Employment Terms:

• Leave replacement position

• English 7-12 or English to Speakers of Other Languages Certification

• Salary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule; 1/200 of $61,939 - $85,725, step placement contingent upon prior related experience.

• Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES). The Commissioner of Education carries out these responsibilities through the New York State Education Department's Office of School Personnel Review and Accountability (OSPRA).
