Position summary

T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Engineers, Software located in Overland Park, KS will assist with information technology solutions by analyzing systems requirements, existing business processes, and information systems.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • code, test, debug, and document software applications;

  • assist with implementation of software applications under moderate to no supervision;

  • serve on a team that will manage, develop microservices to support a billing api's of Tmobile

  • be responsible for a variety of IT functions including analyzing the solution documents, creating IDD and swagger, Microservice development using Jessi, deployment using Kubernetes and creating proxies using APIGEE.

Skill requirements:

  • Experience coding with Core Java concepts including Collections, Exception Handling, Serialization, Java I/O, Generics, or comparable tools/technologies to implement business logic and SQL, NoSQL databases, and frameworks including Hibernate or comparable frameworks to access the data.

  • Expertise developing Microservices using REST framework and Spring Boot or comparable frameworks for synchronous flow of data and in using Apache Kafka or comparable tools for reliable and asynchronous exchange of vital information between multiple business applications.

  • Experience creating Swaggers, Apigee proxies and OAUTH2 to generate a JWT access token in order to access a protected resource on a resource server, using Kibana, Splunk, or comparable tools to monitor the logs.

  • Experience with MuleSoft(Mule 4) features including DataWeave, API designer or comparable components and various connectors. Experience using Mule components including HTTP, File, SMTP, FTP, SFTP, JDBC Connector, Transaction Manager, or comparable components to create the microservice

  • Experience writing JUnits using Mockito or comparable frameworks and writing the automation test cases using TestNG, Rest Assured, Data Manager and postman, or comparable tools to test the Microservices.

  • Expertise using version control and deployment tools including Docker, Kubernetes, BitBucket, Maven, or comparable tools to build and deploy the service in both on perm and AWS cloud.

Experience and education requirements:

  • PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related, and one year of relevant work experience.

  • ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related, and three years of relevant work experience.

Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
