Be responsible for complex custom software system troubleshooting and development, network administration and support, and system administration and support of a large set of database and application servers. Operate work autonomously with direct client interaction for solving client challenges and proposing solutions.

Collaborate with the software developers performing system testing and deployments. Provide software and system administration support for multiple deployments of Intelligent Transportation Systems software. Will be responsible for providing software administration and support to Windows based systems.

Roles will include operations support, server administration, backup administration, database administration, and system administration for custom software and hardware support. Will be responsible for documentation and written reporting of work. The position requires 24/7 on-call support in rotation with other staff members and will require performance of system administration task in off-hours to minimize down-time. Travel to deployment sites will be required.

Education/Experience:

Requires a BS degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Computer Engineering Technology or related with 1-5 years experience. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Two or more years of experience with software, systems, network, and/or database administration and support is preferred. Experience with Windows operating systems is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Experience with written documentation and reporting required.

Experience with Microsoft Visio a plus. Strong interpersonal skills are required for working directly with the client and end-users.

Experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) would be highly valued. Must be able to provide support for software development projects in the area of Operations Support, Testing, Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance. Must be comfortable in an Enterprise Server and Network environment so that they can provide local and remote support to custom software developed for our clients.

Software debugging skills and ability to troubleshoot software code are a strong plus. Certifications (MCSE, CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.) highly desired. A valid/clear driver's license is required.

This position requires passing the test.
