Summary:

Goldbelt, Inc. is in search of an Engineering Technician V/Site Manager to support the Naval Sea Systems Command at Newport, Rhode Island.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for performance of work and personnel under contract.

  • Serves as the Point of Contact (POC) for technical related issues.

  • Perform non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project.

  • Selects and adapts plans, techniques, designs, or layouts, contacts personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work.

  • Reviews, analyzes, and integrates the technical work of others.

  • May train and be assisted by lower-level technicians and performs one or a combination of assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed that include calibration, and repair of Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). TMDE includes all devices used to measure, calibrate, gage, test, inspect, diagnose, or otherwise examine materials, supplies, and equipment to quantitatively or qualitatively determine compliance with specifications and tolerances, engineering drawings, technical orders, technical manuals, or use requirements and instructions.

  • Calibrate all TMDE.

  • Update the TMDE's calibration information in the AMDS and complete the Calibration Record located in AMDS upon completion of the calibration.

  • Affix the appropriate calibration certification label on the TMDE.

  • Complete a Certificate of Calibration when required by the TMDE Calibration Procedure.

  • Notify the Metrology and Calibration Laboratory (MCL) Quality Control Manager at the end of each business day of any non-conformances found.

  • Sort and store all calibrated TMDE on designated shelves by NUWCDIVNPT building number and Department Code.

  • Perform routine repairs and maintenance to TMDE that are found to have defects during routine calibration or brought to the MCL because end user suspects malfunction.

  • Record in AMDS any type of failure resulting in an Out of Tolerance Condition and segregate the items for NUWCDIVNPT Lab Manager review.

  • Update the TMDE's calibration information in AMDS by completing the Calibration Record. Report all obsolescence to the Government via AMDS.

  • Ensure timesheets and expense reports are correct and submitted on time.

  • Provide feedback for Employee Evaluations.

  • Provide information for monthly reporting.

  • Assist with maintaining customer relationships.

  • Assist with recruiting efforts in backfilling vacant positions and filling new positions.

  • Assist with employee recognition.

  • Assist with technical support for BD related queries.

  • Travel to remote on-site location to perform calibrations when necessary.

  • Hold or be able to hold a Secret Security Clearance.
