Alutiiq Information Management, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opening for an Engineering Technician V. The Engineering Technician V is responsible for efforts related to planning, designing and repairing systems/components as required for project execution. As the senior technician lead, candidate will be required to direct technical personnel with projects; subsequent reporting and advising to senior personnel will be required to aid project direction. Must have the ability to formulate work project plans and guide efforts to completion. Responsible for personnel actions to include interview, hiring, personnel assessment and evaluation.
Must be capable of planning and have ability prioritize work schedule for project requirements. Provides support to the Production Lead and Production Supervisor on all production assignments; works in other departments and/or miscellaneous assignments as instructed. Will be responsible for work projects where independent activities are required.
Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
Maintains project documentation to include post-installation test and check documents. Ensures that all documents are properly completed and filed in their assigned location.
Prepare, review and verify a variety of documents, forms and reports on operations and engineering activities/studies.
Required to regularly supervise two or more employees. Will be required to provide input into job status of employees, to include hiring, firing, promotions and other work assignments.
Will be required to interview, select and training employees.
Keeps supervisor and co-workers appraised of all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect production schedules
Able to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written instructions
Experience using electronic test equipment, hand tools and small power tools. Operates and understands the function of oscilloscopes, generators, meters, power supplies, and service monitors
Fabricate components and cable connectors according to approved drawing.
Able to troubleshoot electronics down to the component level to determine root cause and correct malfunction
Able to follow preventive maintenance requirements (PMR) on electronic and mechanical systems
Maintain a safe working environment; review MSDS before handling and use of hazardous materials.

Payrate: $85,000 to $105,000 Annually

Maintain security of equipment, parts and materials.
Ensure all tools and materials are stored in a safe and orderly manner and in compliance with OSHA standards; maintain MSDS files on hazardous materials.
Domestic and international travel may be required (Passport)
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
U.S. Citizenship status required
An active DoD SECRET Security Clearance or higher desired, or must have the ability to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
High School Diploma or GED. Related technical/trade schools
At least ten years electronics experience, prior training and knowledge of basic electronics and/or electronic equipment.
Knowledge of:
Operations, services and activities of a warehousing program
Principles and procedures of report preparation
Troubleshoot in a logical manner
English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation
Modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment
Safe work practices and safety requirements
HAZMAT regulations
Skills in:
Facility electrical systems with related power systems
Welding, paint, sand-blasting
Mechanical component fabrication
Obsolete part acquisition
Ability to:
Interpret drawings and explain procedures
Prepare clear and concise reports
Flexibly adapt to a variety of work situations and interruptions
Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with government employees
Work with hazardous materials
Pass a drug screen exam
Possess a state issued drivers license
