Electrical Engineering Technician Brookfield, WI

Position Summary:

Pentair is currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join the Filtrations Solution Engineering team responsible for the design integrity of our water softener and filtration controls. In this role, the Electrical Engineer Technician will work on electronic controls involving both hardware and software validation. You will:

  • Plan, develop, and conduct tests on electronic components, products, and systems

  • Assist project engineers with building and testing prototype circuits and performing software validation tests

  • Test and validate new product designs with quality focus

  • Meets customer needs and execute on projects working with a cross functional team as part of a stage-gate new product development process

  • Timely troubleshooting quality issues relating to hardware and software

  • Performs product verification and validation testing to relevant regulations/standards

  • Define and develop testing documentation and procedures

  • Maintain test plans, product manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics

  • Ensure all requirements, regulations/standards, and specifications are tested correctly

  • Contributes ideas for new product designs and/or product improvements

  • Use of test equipment: signal generator, frequency meter, oscilloscopes, fast transient generator, ESD gun, etc

You should:

  • Associates degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

  • 3-5 years minimum electrical experience

  • Must be able to read and understand electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Experience working with PCB schematics, layout and artwork

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
