The Engineering Technician is primarily responsible for supporting activities related to product development and lifecycle management. This position will provide assistance to the Manufacturing, Service, and Sales departments by providing timely solutions under the guidance of their supervisor.

What you'll bring:

  • 2 year Technical Degree or equivalent

  • Minimum 1-year experience in component design; Recent graduate considered based on course work

  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and PDM preferred, alternative similar products

  • Experience in oilfield related manufacturing would be an asset

  • Strong Microsoft office skills

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and Lean, Rapid & Profitable new product development principles would be an asset

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to think critically

  • Results-oriented with the ability to work in a team

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

What you'll do:

  • Create and Update Bills of Materials (BOMs), product manuals, product bulletins, instructions and guides.

  • Detail drawings of new parts and assemblies

  • Revise drawings according to changes in methods of manufacturing, or

  • Log and distribute Request for Engineering Action (REA's) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN's)

  • Interface between Manufacturing and Engineering departments

  • Assist in assembly and testing for prototype equipment and major changes, when necessary

  • Answer Sales questions regarding legacy products

  • Live the MCB's (McCoy Behaviors) supporting a high-performance culture

  • Comply with McCoy policies and quality system processes and procedures

  • Maintain technical accuracy and detail in all aspects of completed work
