Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance.

Electronics Engineer in Support of Aircraft Survivability Equipment at JBLM, WA. Secret Clearance is required.

  • Provide sustainment support for electronic countermeasures components of the Common Missile Warning System (CMWS), Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasures (A TIRCM), and additional Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE).

  • Perform complex analysis and reports on trends and issues that occur in the field.

  • Be able to maintain a professional working relationship with the customer and provide them with timely resolutions to their issues by understanding their mission requirements.

  • Able to work with little or no supervision.

  • Work closely with maintainers and operators by providing technical support to resolve issues quickly within the range and scope of authorized troubleshooting and repair.

  • Prepare materials, components and assemblies for evaluation and recommend modifications as needed. Write or interpret engineering change orders, blueprints, diagrams, sketches photographs or other process and product documentation.

  • Responsible for maintaining and reporting weekly status reports.

  • Able to work with little or no supervision.

  • TDY travel may be required.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have experience with the AN/AAR-57 CMWS and the AN/ALQ-212 ATIRCM systems.

  • Must have at least 8 years of avionics maintenance repair experience and possess an active secret clearance

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: AA or equivalent + 6 yrs related experience
