THE ROLE
You will be collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to build, maintain, and test robotic cells for new and exciting applications of our AI robotics technology.
AREAS OF FOCUS
Building and modifying robotic development cells
Operating and supervising AI-powered robots
Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on robot stations
Collecting and analyzing data on system performance and component performance
Building subassemblies for testing and validation
Building Production systems in-house for FAT
YOU WILL
Assemble, wire, and test electromechanical assemblies
Assist with experimentation by running robot cells with different HW configurations or different SW
Manually operate robots to calibrate vision systems and other robot cell parameters
Conduct performance analysis of in-house cells in order to make iterations and preparations for deployments
Work with SW Engineers and Research to find solutions and test new workstreams
Perform various prototyping tasks in the machine shop
Provide feedback to engineering to improve designs
Maintain world-class lab and shop areas.
YOU HAVE
8+ years experience
Proficiency with simple hand tools (Allen keys, screwdrivers) and power tools (hand drill, jig saw), electrical work & rapid prototyping
Proficiency with electrical assembly, wiring, cable routing, and debugging industrial control panels
Proficiency with manual machining
Proficiency with reading CAD drawings, electrical schematics, and technical product manuals
PLC experience, Beckoff preferred
Familiarity with industrial automation components; robots, motors, pneumatics, sensors, etc.
Ability to communicate and organize with people in a variety of roles
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to learn quickly on the job, not afraid to try new things and pick up new skills
NICE TO HAVES
AS level degree or higher in Industrial/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent
Programming experience in any language; python and ladder logic preferred
Proficiency with CAD software such as Solidworks, onshape, AutoCAD, etc.
$80,000 - $110,000 a year
Base pay is one element of our total rewards package which may also include comprehensive benefits and equity etc., depending on eligibility. The annual base salary range for this position is from $80,000 to $110,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as years of relevant experience, skills, education etc. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
