Job Description

We are seeking an Engineering Technician who is experienced with FANUC Robots. You will be working directly to support our team of controls engineers as required. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your technical skills while working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all assigned equipment is in good working condition.

• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and carry out remedial actions.

• Inspect all machinery for defects and potential problems in accordance with preventative maintenance program; repair and replace parts as required.

• Perform general equipment inspection and report abnormalities to Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.

• Advise Maintenance Supervisor to order replacement parts as required.

• Build machine replacement parts as required.

• Set up robotic welding stations by operating/retrieving various computer programs stored in robotic welding equipment.

• Participate in Continuous Improvement and assist in its implementation on an ongoing basis.

• Modify existing equipment and install new equipment as required.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electric/electronic system faults, tune equipment and ensure adequate controls and safety measures are functional.

• Carry out monthly/yearly electrical maintenance procedures, repair/or replace parts as required, in accordance with preventative maintenance program.

• Ability to read blueprint drawings

• Strong knowledge of electrical functioning, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery and automation equipment

Hard Skills

• FANUC Robots experience

• Supporting controls engineers

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Garland, Texas.
