Engineering Technician positions perform a broad range of duties involving technical engineering work in support of professional engineers.
Duties include but are not limited to drafting, engineering calculations, surveying, materials/soils testing, construction inspection, roadway design, right-of-way engineering, planning, permitting and inspection, water rights appropriation and land acquisition in support of civil or related professional engineering work.
Duties require the application of technical engineering skills, methods, and practices in compiling technical data, drafting, computers, computer aided software, operating specialized equipment, and preparing engineering related documents.
Under general supervision incumbents perform one or more of the duties described in the series concept at the journey level, perform technical engineering work by applying a variety of methods and practices in compiling technical data, using computer aided software, operating specialized equipment and preparing technical engineering documents.
This position will be located at the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) in Winnemucca.
Incumbent will work in the field performing required inspections, testing, and surveying; complete field and office work to assure contractor's work is documented per the specifications and quantities for prompt contractor payment.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is recruiting for FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER 3 in Winnemucca, Nevada. Family Support Workers assist in planning daily routines for family members including work and play activities to establish a responsible, balanced and orderly family living environment; observe and identify abnormal behavior, safety risks, neglect or abuse within the family unit and report observations to supervisor; works with social service personnel in referring clients to appropriate agencies for assistance and completes necessary referral forms for services; transports children to doctor appointments or parents to court as requested; and documents services provided to clients and prepare reports.
