Engineering Technician 2 - Underfill

The Position

Engineering Technicians perform a broad range of duties involving technical engineering work in support of professional engineers including drafting, engineering calculations, surveying, materials and soils testing, construction inspection, roadway design, right-of-way engineering, planning, permitting and inspection, water rights appropriation and land acquisition in support of civil or related professional engineering work. Work requires the application of technical engineering skills, methods and practices in compiling technical data, drafting, computer aided software, operating specialized equipment and preparing engineering related documents.

Under general supervision, incumbents continue to receive training in technical engineering methods and practices.

This position is an Engineering Technician II underfill Engineering Technician III. This position is located within the Titles Section of the Division of Water Resources in Carson City, Nevada.

The incumbent will review and process Reports of Conveyance submittals to update water right ownership. Responsibilities will also include public assistance with title related inquiries, assist Water Resource Specialists with technical and statutory review of water right applications and maps, annual field work collecting water level data, and all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Manager or State Engineer.
