We have an opening in our Product Development Complex for electronic & mechanical assembly operators or technicians in support of a low rate initial production line. The position will include the build & test of prototype and production electro-mechanical assemblies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or additional technical training

  • 3 to 5 years of hands on manufacturing or equivalent micro-assembly experience

  • Applicant must have basic computer skills

  • Able to read schematics

  • Previous solder surface mount packages with the aid of a microscope.

  • Also be willing to work overtime in the support of meeting critical program delivery schedules.

  • Applicant needs to pass a background check by Security to obtain a clearance to work in the Product Development Complex (PDC).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IPC J-STD-001E certification or OJT in the soldering of electrical & electronic assemblies

  • Proficiency in the use of general lab equipment such as: microscopes, meters, calibers, digital scales and computers for recording variable build data.

Work closely with customer, internal engineering and manufacturing facility to drive highly regulated products and processes through the NPD process that meet or exceed customer expectations. Principal duties, capabilities and responsibilities: * Hands on technician with willingness and capability to operate a variety of manufacturing equipment types. * Assist sales and customer service team with organizing customer documents and specifications. * Ability to work in a highly regulated industry. * Excellent communication skills resulting in the ability to work closely and instill confidence in customers, vendors and internal team members at all times. * Skilled at reading, understanding, interpreting and implementing complex customer documented reqjuirement including blue prints (GD&T), detailed specificiations and inspection requirements. * Famiiarity with manufacturing processes including creating shop paperwork, shipping documents, C of C;s etc. * Familiarity with creating inspection methodologies * Excellent grasp of the Microsoft office suite of produocts wiht special emphasis on Word, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Project. * Excellent written and verbal communicaiton skills including technical writing. * Ability to schedule, coordinate and keep development projects and documentation up to date and on track. * Knowledge/training to ISO 13485(current), Medial Devices QM System or ISO90001. * Other duties as assigned. Desired Education Requirements: * 2 year technical degree in an engineering, manufaturing, or science discipline. This position requires good corrected vision, must be able to stoop, kneel, reach, lift and have the ability to work in a limited amount of space within a clean room enviornment.
