At Mobile Heartbeat, you'll be working with cutting edge technologies and having a direct impact on healthcare delivery in hospitals across the United States. Our MH-CURE product is used by nurses, doctors and other care providers across a range of hospitals, providing secure clinical communication, access to patient data and care teams as well as delivery of alerts and alarms.

The Engineering Technical Lead position is responsible for leading an engineering team through the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software releases. Works closely with Product Managers to ensure that their designs and code meet business requirements. The Engineering Technical Lead will be hands-on, contributing to software features and bug fixes. An ideal candidate will be passionate about designing, coding, and testing software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software engineers, including task planning and code reviews.

  • Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment.

  • Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution and success of complex technical projects.

  • Mentor engineers in their professional and career growth.

  • Architect new modules, frameworks, and features of the Mobile Heartbeat product.

  • Ensure code is designed, documented, and written to technical specifications.

  • Work closely with Product Managers to define product requirements

  • Collaborate with QA to ensure proper testing of code

  • Help customer support and operations troubleshoot production issues

  • Responsible for fixing bugs and writing feature enhancements

  • Providing sound, informed estimates for development tasks

Required skills, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

  • 10 years of relevant experience in the design, development, documentation, and deployment of scalable web applications using Java

  • 3 years of relevant experience in the design and development of mobile applications (Android or iOS)

  • 2 years of relevant experience leading an agile software development team

  • Experience using Agile/Scrum development methodologies

  • 5 years of relevant experience with writing code to interact with relational databases

  • 2 years of relevant experience creating REST web services

  • Experience with creating user interfaces for web applications

  • Strong understanding of and experience with all stages of software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, verification, deployment, and sustainment

  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, written, and verbal skills

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem solve

  • Solid organizational, leadership, and analytical skills

Beneficial Skills and Experience

  • Experience acting as an agile scrum master

  • Experience with MS SQL Server

National Grid is hiring a Lead Technical Product Owner in our Waltham, MA office. Job Purpose The Technical Product Owner role will lead and support technical and business teams in developing and deploying a new asset and work management solution to support tracking the lifecycle of an asset and creating and managing the gas construction work within National Grid's large, multi-jurisdictional Gas Business. The Technical Product Owner will work closely with the Business Product Owner, who will serve as the primary point of contact with end users and will focus on understanding and defining the business requirements for the asset management/ work management solution. The Technical Product Owner will provide a technical perspective in defining business requirements and will ensure that technical development and deployment teams interpret business requirements correctly and deliver a solution that meets the needs of the business while effectively improving safety, compliance, efficiency and consistency across multiple legacy operating companies. Key Accountabilities * Assist development teams in writing user stories * Support in mapping application integrations * Refine business user stories/epics and add technical requirements and specifications to user stories * Facilitate user story and program increment demos * Ensure that test scenarios are created as part of epic completion * Ensure all epic user stories are completed and Integrated Development Testing complete prior to epic closure * Participate in UAT and post go-live support for all major and minor releases * Provide input into solution design phase and validate designs against architectural standards * Engage with internal stakeholders in various teams to understand larger strategic objectives * Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, business analysts, developers, testers and others to develop and execute against Product Roadmaps and Release Plans * Review and understand business process flows and process compliance and regulatory constraints * Coordinate conversations between compliance/digital security teams and development teams * Ensure functional and technical design documents are updated and maintained * Collaborate with Business Product Owner to prioritize and define epics and user stories * Analyse data to identify opportunities and deliver recommendations * Participate in program agile ceremonies Qualifications * BS/MS in Computer Science or related field * 7+ years experience in the field of application/software development/implementation * 3-5 years experience with practical Lean/Agile experience or experience working on a Scaled Agile Framework® program * 1-3 years of experience supporting Salesforce implementations * Proven track record in technical leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes * Experience with building/supporting cloud-based API platforms. * Experience with Reporting, Analytics, Business Intelligence Preferred experience: * Knowledge of Agile tools including Jira, AgileCraft, and Confluence * Utility industry experience preferred More Information This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
