Engineering Team Lead

Kingfisher is actively seeking a highly skilled Engineering Team Lead to oversee cybersecurity solutions' integration, testing, and deployment, with a primary focus on the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in system testing, configuration management, and cybersecurity practices. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Integration and Testing:
Conduct integration, operational, and systems testing of the ACAS solution, ensuring adherence to testing standards and guidelines.
Support Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) testing of solutions and address any issues identified during testing.
Update System Test Plans to reflect changes and additional features provided in integration phases.
Operational Testing and Deployment:
Perform operational testing to ensure interoperability and compliance with external systems and business processes.
Coordinate with stakeholders to deploy infrastructure for end-to-end interoperability and compatibility testing.
Develop and execute interoperability and system-wide functionality test plans.
Configuration Management:
Analyze, maintain, and manage change requests (CRs) through the Configuration Control Board (CCB) process.
Perform Configuration Management (CM) Test and Evaluation, including regression testing of patches and system changes.
Maintain a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and update the Product Baseline Report accordingly.
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for interoperability and compatibility issues.
Collaborate with DISA engineers and component contributors to develop integration strategies and deployment plans.
Stay updated on cybersecurity standards, regulations, and best practices, including NIST guidelines and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Understanding of Cyber Security Assessment, Authorization, and Implementation processes and procedures
Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) NIPRNet, SIPRNet, Nessus, Security Center
Knowledge of eMASS, NIST SP 800-3 and 800-53, Risk Management Framework, Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M), Vulnerability Management Policy, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA)
Expert knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Operating Systems
Designing and/or configuring TCP/IP networks, including deploying and managing IP subnets
Linux/Unix Systems Administration
Tenable or other vulnerability assessment product deployment or administration.
Required Certification:

Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate
Microsoft Certified Windows Server Certification
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
Years of Experience:
Cumulative total of ten (10) years of demonstrated hands-on experience (does not have to be concurrent).
Minimum of two (2) years experience acting as a team lead, to include managing multiple team members, interfacing with management personnel to provide status updates and receiving taskings.
Minimum of two (2) years experience implementing DOD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), complying with Information Assurance Vulnerability Messages (IAVMs) or the commercial equivalents
Degree Requirement:
A Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or something similar is required.
In lieu of a degree, the minimum is five (5)years of experience conducting engineering of network infrastructure.
