• Sophomore through Graduate Enrolled Engineering Student. Prefer electrical, civil, mechanical, chemical engineering students, and current AISES members.

• Internship will commence in May and last through August 2024 with a potential to continue part time through the fall semester with remote work, project permitting.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Engineering Summer Internship

$16.00-$26.50/hour

Can choose to report to officies in; Deming, Silver City, Ruidoso, Alamogordo.

This temporary internship position will perform assignments designed to develop engineering work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard techniques, practices and procedures and provide an opportunity work with company executives and other stakeholders positively impacting the communities and utility industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides entry-level engineering support for small projects or as a team member for part of a larger project. Tasks may be somewhat repetitive in nature.

• Provides basic engineering support to operational areas.

• Provides entry-level technical support to and interacts with other associates.

• Uses the Company and industry standards to ensure safety and consistency of engineering results.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Student currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree program at an institution of higher education or working towards a graduate degree in engineering.

• Must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher and possess functional computer skills.
