VEPC Chem Lab Engineering Specialist/Process Coach #3 Shift (Afternoon Shift), Primarily M-F

What you'll do…

VEPC Chem Lab Engineering Specialist/Process Coach Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coach, supervise and manage the lab UAW hourly employees

  • Assign work tasks to UAW hourly employees and hold employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of Safety, Quality and Throughput

  • Manage UAW employees pay, training plans and schedules

  • Maintain lab 5S standards and workplace organization

  • Properly Manage Labor and Overhead in the lab within budgeted targets

  • Manage the daily lab contamination and destructive testing checks for all production programs in the plant per ES requirements and communicate results to the plant team. Drive reaction plans follow up to failures

  • Maintain proper records for all lab testing and checks

  • Perform "Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)" sample prep and analysis

  • Automatic optical microscope (AOM) operation and analysis

  • Manage employees training requirements and versatility matrix

  • Support internal and external 3rd party contamination, environmental and quality audits in the plant

  • Support Internal Quality meetings and investigations

  • Maintain lab supplies inventory and equipment spare parts

  • Manage lab equipment wellness (uptime, preventative maintenance, and repairs)
