Engineering Specialist, Devops

Job Summary

The Engineering Specialist, DevOps plans, directs, implements, and maintains the North Andover Business Unit (NABU) hardware and software infrastructure in order to enable the delivery of Fresenius-Kabi products. This position acts as technical leader for the DevOps team and may be responsible for mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

The Engineering Specialist, DevOps Plans for, designs and implements Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery mechanisms to enhance NABU product delivery capabilities.

Investigates and recommends new technologies and best practices to enhance NABU product delivery capabilities

Defines, supports and administers physical and virtual Linux and Windows based systems that support the needs of the NABU product delivery teams.

Collaborates with software development on the resolution of cybersecurity vulnerabilities

Validates tools used in the development and deployment of Fresenius-Kabi products

Implements software necessary to automate tasks and enhance development workflow

Implements and maintains internal engineering networking and test hardware and software to support engineering and test efforts

Implements and maintains virtualized environments to support engineering and test efforts.

Plans for and directs external vendors in the management of corporate hardware and networking platforms

Collaborates with internal Fresenius-Kabi IT resources to provide corporate network and tool access necessary for NABU personnel to perform successfully.

Assists in support the Fresenius-Kabi Implementation Team activities related to product installation at customer sites.

Maintains technical records and files

Mentors and guides junior and senior staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of related experience

• Extensive experience maintaining a heterogeneous hardware and software environment

• Experience in IT services vendor management

• Experience with multiple hypervisor platforms and virus scan applications

• Experience in cloud-based hosting of corporate resources

• Willing to roll-up sleeves and perform hands on efforts to meet critical delivery targets.

• Ability to work across organizational boundaries to achieve business goals

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
