The Product Development coop will assist in the product development process and lean product development.
He/she will be responsible for statistical analysis, draper belt design and analysis, machine design and problem solving both individually and in development teams. This will include frequent and ongoing consultation with the Plant Engineer, the safety Manager, numerous project engineers and managers/specialists when decisions are to be made.
This assignment provides a diverse experience in the functions and needs of the rubber products development group; an excellent opportunity for a student to evaluate a manufacturing environment, and the opportunity to learn about the physical properties and the overall manufacturing process and applications of engineered belts.
Must be authorized to work in the US without visa or other sponsorship (unless an internal Continental employee applicant).
Will be completing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or closely related Engineering field on or before June 2022 and currently enrolled at an accredited university.
Intermediate level skills in AUTOCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
